the Original Clairol
Herbal Essence Shampoo

quite possibly the greatest smelling shampoo ever made

Why did they stop making it??
WHY?!?!?

I miss that smell...

I LOVED the smell of this shampoo.

I loved another shampoo, also, but I can't remember the name.

So does anyone out there remember another popular shampoo circa 1978: Body On Tap. It was supposed to have been made with beer. I'm still waiting for the drinkable version...

Teri loves it too. You know, I never told anybody this, but I've known teri since childhood. Once I told her you could drink it, and she chugged a whole bottle. The paramedics had to pump her stomach. She almost died. I still laugh when I think of it.

It smelled so good and the illustrations were cool, too. My fave shampoo smell was Flex and it made my "feathers" (lol) silky, too.

Clairol's original Herbal Essence was my favorite shampoo and I cannot understand why all the present Herbal Essence shampoos are only fruity scents.

Vermont Country Store has made their own version of the original Herbal Essence shampoo. It is the same color and bottle shape--just a different label and name. They call it 'Country Herbal Shampoo.'
I have not tried it so I cannot say if it smells like the original Herbal Essence. The Country Herbal Shampoo costs $14.95 plus shipping for 16oz. A bit too much for me to try and recapture the original Herbal Essence Shampoo scent.
